VICINI DI CASA - NEIGHBORS. Housing empowerment and intercultural proximity
The project
VICINI DI CASA - NEIGHBORS. Housing empowerment and intercultural proximity, intends to contribute to the social inclusion of migrants and refugees who have left the institutional reception pathways in the Fidenza Social-Health District, promoting housing empowerment for the acquisition of autonomy; as part of the promotion of Community participatory practices.
It is aimed at beneficiaries with different levels of autonomy and diversified needs, ensuring modular responses, based on the objectives included in individualized projects (designed and monitored with a participatory and integrated approach). It has 3 key components:
- Measures to support housing integration and autonomy: activation of a co-housing structure as a measure of transition to housing autonomy, activation of a fund for housing autonomy as a measure to support refugees and protection holders who need additional economic support for the payment of monthly rent, advance deposit, users, other costs related to housing placement in autonomy.
- Strengthening of competences in terms of rights and duties related to housing and for greater effectiveness in the search for housing independently.
- Promotion of community practices in support of housing inclusion, aimed at mediation of conflicts and awareness of the Right to Housing.
